The aim of this course is to develop your capability to manage performance effectively, consistently and in a way that directly contributes to the achievement of the business plan and mission, aims and priorities.

Objectives

The objectives of the course are:

  • Examine the perspectives and attitudes that influence a high-performance culture
  • Demonstrate how to write SMART performance objectives that link in with your Business Plan, values, aims and priorities
  • Identify how you can positively influence the achievement of performance objectives
  • Clarify the Performance Management process and your role within this
  • Demonstrate how to ask diagnostic questions to help gain a deeper level of understanding in order to facilitate objective performance discussions
  • Demonstrate your ability to deliver motivational and developmental performance feedback
  • Develop strategies to deal with difficult situations and common Performance Management issues
  • Identify how to prepare effectively for a Performance Management meeting and apply the Performance Management template as a preparation tool
